Matilda's Foundation

Matilda's Foundation was established in 2023 by Mama Matilda, a God-fearing woman with a deep passion for the welfare of underprivileged children. Her vision is to positively impact the lives of millions of children living on the streets and in vulnerable conditions.

Matilda's Home currently operates from a modest residential facility in Nkoransa-Ampabeng, Ashanti Region, Ghana. The orphanage provides care for 77 children, ranging in age from 3 to 22 years old.

All of the children are enrolled in mainstream schools, ensuring they receive formal education alongside the care, support, and stability they need.

The home is managed by a dedicated team of compassionate caregivers, affectionately referred to as "mothers", who are deeply committed to the wellbeing and development of every child in their care.

The management team also goes the extra mile by collaborating with private clinics and volunteer nurses who regularly visit the home to provide essential healthcare services and support.

As part of our growth and outreach programme, Ephsol Children's Fund visited Matilda's Home in April 2026.

Through the generous support of our donors and partners, we were able to provide essential supplies and resources to help improve the children's daily lives, wellbeing, and future opportunities.
